Support for Tsuut’ina Nation youth, events and advancement
Taza is committed to supporting Tsuut’ina Nation through a range of initiatives. We support programs that benefit all generations, with a special focus on youth—the future leaders.
We sponsor initiatives in areas including health and wellness, sports, education, arts, culture and community engagement. By contributing in this way, we’re helping to foster the resilience, connection and growth that will build a thriving future.
Taza youth high school engagement
These programs promote leadership, career exploration, academic support and mentorship.
Youth sports programs
Through activities like youth hockey, we encourage physical activity and teamwork.
Community celebrations
Events like Halloween at the Nation and Christmas at the Nation Holiday Market help keep the community connected.
Canderel Challenge for cancer Research
Since 1989, Taza partner Canderel has supported cancer research through an annual corporate fundraiser: the Canderel Challenge. Over the years, this initiative has raised more than $25 million for cancer research institutes in Montreal, funding life-saving discoveries and advancements in cancer prevention and treatment.
Going national
To expand its impact and support pan-Canadian cancer research, Canderel’s fundraising efforts grew to include Quebec City, Ottawa, Toronto, Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver.
Superhero Dash YYC
In 2024, Taza held the first annual Canderel Challenge in Calgary, featuring a 5km fun run called the Superhero Dash. It was a day of capes and smiles, bringing the community together to support cancer research.
