Major residential milestone will introduce two six-storey mid-rise buildings with 346 units to the heart of Taza’s emerging community.
Tsuut’ina, AB — December 11, 2025 — Taza Development Corp (TDC) and Crystal Creek Homes are pleased to announce Black Birch Heights, a new multi-family residential development planned to launch in Spring 2026 in Taza Park. Designed to complement the modern, nature-inspired architectural vision of Taza, Black Birch Heights will introduce 346 condominium homes and expand the diversity of housing options within one of Alberta’s most significant master-planned communities.
A contemporary mid-rise project, Black Birch Heights features two six-storey buildings defined by clean architectural lines, generous glazing, and natural materials that draw inspiration from the surrounding landscape. Early concepts envision a connected, pedestrian-oriented environment through walkable streetscapes, and seamless access to retail, dining, cultural spaces, and everyday amenities throughout Taza Park.
“Black Birch Heights reflects Crystal Creek Homes’ continued and meaningful investment in building a complete, vibrant community at Taza Park,” said James Robertson, President, Taza Development. “As a project that honours Tsuut’ina values and contributes to the long-term vision for a connected, mixed-use district, this development represents an important step forward in welcoming the growing number of people who choose to live, work, and gather in Taza.”
Black Birch Heights will be the first condominium homes in Taza Park that will be offering privately owned condos for sale. Planned suites include one- and two-bedroom layouts with den options, along with parkade and surface parking, bicycle and residential storage, private balconies, and rooftop amenity spaces that capture breathtaking views.
“This project represents an exciting evolution for Crystal Creek Homes and for multi-family living at Taza,” says Richard Daley, President of Multifamily at Crystal Creek Homes. “With two six-storey buildings offering 346 thoughtfully designed homes, generous amenities, and incredible mountain and river valley views, we’ve created a concept that blends modern convenience with an elevated living experience. Features such as 10-foot ceilings on the top floor and generous corner balconies ensure residents can enjoy both comfort and connection to the surrounding landscape.”

Rooted in Taza Park’s guiding principles of community, culture, and connection to the land, Black Birch Heights is intended to offer residents a modern, convenient, and meaningful living experience. Further details on home types, interior design features, shared amenities, and sales information will be released as the project advances through design and approval stages.
“Launching our first multi-family condo building at Taza is a milestone moment for our team, and we are honoured to be part of this transformative community,” says Justin Bobier, President of Crystal Creek Homes. “Our partnership with Canderel and Tsuut’ina Nation has been built on respect, collaboration, and a shared commitment to creating meaningful places to live. We are excited to bring this vision to life and contribute to the future of Taza.”
